Right, so. We built a thing.

It’s called AI Slop Today and the strapline says it all: “The internet’s AI embarrassments. Catalogued daily.” It’s not a campaign. Not a manifesto. It’s just… us, collecting the stuff that makes us laugh, wince, and occasionally despair a bit.

The idea came to my partner and I on holiday – one of those conversations that starts as a joke and ends with “no, genuinely, let’s actually do that.” We both love a bit of AI slop.

This isn’t coming from a place of hating AI. I use it every single day – it’s just in how we work now, honestly. We’re AI-enhanced and we’re not shy about it.

But AI slop is its own thing, isn’t it?!

It’s what happens when the technology gets used without anyone checking it over or making mindless, low value content that clutters up our feeds.

So we catalogued it. Daily. AI-sourced, human-curated – we acknowledge the irony, don’t worry.

To try and make sense of the different kinds of slop out there, we added multiple categories. including: Ad slop, Sloppy slop, Political slop, Social slop and Education slop – but my personal favourite is Corp slop. The slop that shouldn’t really exist. The slop that should have a budget, not to be slop.

There’s new slop available every day. Some days two items, some days fourteen. The internet does not disappoint.
