The Great British Butcher

The Great British Butcher offers a range of British themed rubs and seasonings that make any meat dish that bit more delicious.

Each of the 6 Great British Butcher product tins situated in a traditional rustic setting on a wooden farmhouse table. The tins at the front are placed on top of a checked tea towel, and the ones at the back on a chunky wooden chopping board. There is an enamel mug and a couple of ceramic bowls containing rubs and crumbs. In the background is a vintage jug and an old school ceramic hen - used to store eggs.

British heritage

The brief was to create a brand identity and packaging building on the company’s strong British heritage, whilst celebrating the spirit of the British butcher serving up honest, top notch meat with a smile.

Naturally great

Inspired by the product, the packaging is simple, carefully considered and wholesome. A balance of tradition and modern was achieved with vintage style typography and playful illustrations that represent the carefully curated ingredients.

Craft and care

Time, effort and love was poured into perfecting the flavours in each creation and it was really important that the packaging represented this attention to detail and craft.

A series of brand illustrations were created for each flavour – representing the core ingredients used. These then formed traditional-looking patterns which were applied to the side of each tin.
